Working one day per week from February to October on the school site with years 1-5.  Each class learns how to sow, nurture, harvest and cook food.

We mostly work with groups on a rota basis but also deliver whole class seed sowing lessons, and a harvest & cook lesson.

We focus on the science curriculum and healthy eating whilst teaching the children the skills to grow their own food.

"Our school has no green space, but has installed some raised beds.  Grow to Learn are working with the pupils to help them plant, grown, harvest and cook their own food.  This, for many of our pupils has been a new experience.  They are using maths and science skills in their work and developing their speaking and listening skills whilst working in small groups."

What do other schools say?

  • "The session was super organised"
  • "The Grow to Learn teachers were enthusiastic, they had high expectations of behaviour, and they worked really well as a team"
