Holy Trinity Primary Academy

'Plot to Plate Plus'

Working with whole classes through the growing season to sow, nurture, harvest and cook food.  Food grown goes into the school kitchen to be served at lunchtimes.

HolyTrinityBug House

Exploring & making bug habitats

Holy Trinity have a nature area with a pond and a small grass area adjacent to their 'allotment space'.  Whole classes come out with their class teacher; two groups are led by the Grow to Learn teacher focussing on the food growing, while the class teacher takes a group for an outdoor learning activity

All activities are planned in consultation with the class teacher and are linked to their science or class topic, all resources are brought in by Grow to Learn.

The produce from the Holy Trinity garden goes into the school kitchen to be served at lunchtimes - the whole school gets excited when there is something homegrown on the menu.

Each of the classes we work with also get to make food for the picnic at the end of the summer term.
